NECA announces SDCC Exclusive Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade Figures

We’re only few months away from San Diego Comic-Con 2016 (and you can bet we’ll be there), and as usual some exclusives have started getting announced.

And I can tell you right now it’ll be hard to top NECA’s Exclusive Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles based on the original Konami arcade game from 1989. Which in turn was based on the original 1987 animated series. (which coincidentally Bandai is also releasing figures on) Check out the slideshow as well as an accompanying video NECA released today.

With over 30 points of articulation (which seems to be the norm these days for quality toys), these figures are modeled after the original animated show style in the game sporting a unique pixelated paint job to mirror those 16-bit days.

Not only is NECA releasing the Turtles as a set, but they will also be offering Shredder and some foot soldiers in a second 4-pack. All boxed in packaging reminiscent of the arcade cabinet and interior backgrounds based on the game’s original ones.

These will definitely be a hot ticket item to get this year and we’ll know more about details as far as preordering goes within the following weeks.

Are you excited for these new TMNT figures? It does seem to be the year for all Ninja Turtles fans, with lots of quality figures being produced and released from various companies. And I for one can not get enough.
